πΎ About Umoja Animal Rescue Uganda
Who We Are
Umoja Animal Rescue Uganda is a community-based animal rescue and sanctuary initiative operating under Umoja Greenlands, a regenerative development organization focused on ethical, ecological, and compassionate solutions.
Our rescue provides protection and care for animals facing neglect, abandonment, exploitation, or immediate danger. We work with both companion and farmed animals, recognizing that all sentient beings deserve dignity, safety, and compassionate treatment.
Operating within local communities and in cooperation with local authorities, Umoja Animal Rescue Uganda combines direct rescue work with awareness building and responsible animal care education. Our approach is grounded in sustainability, coexistence, and respect for life.
π± Our Mission
To rescue, protect, and care for animals in need by providing safety, nourishment, medical care, rehabilitation, and lifelong compassion, while promoting a culture of kindness, coexistence, and respect for all sentient beings in Uganda.
